Tell us how you both met?
I met Will one night at Tall-trees in Yarm. His best friend was friends with one of my friends. It was definitely love at first sight!
What was your fondest memory from your engagement/proposal?
My fondest memory of when we got engaged was Wills face – he looked terrified!! I had no idea he was about to propose to me. I was in hospital at the time, he was late visiting me and I wasn’t very pleased about it. I was getting very impatient wondering why he was so late, unbeknown to me he had been picking up my engagement ring. He was soon forgiven!
When & Where are you getting married?
We are getting married at the lovely Danby Castle on Friday 2nd May. So excited!!
What was it about the venue that wowed you?
We absolutely fell in love with the venue as soon as we walked through the courtyard. We loved that it has a resident pony living there! It’s very rustic and so us. It suits our style perfectly as its very relaxed and informal, you can pretty much decorate it how you like and I love all the vintage crockery and the history of the castle itself.
Tell us what your top 5 priorities were when setting out your wedding plans.
1 – planning. It is so important. I am not usually a very organised girl and tend to leave things till the last minute but the is one day where I have to be the most organised girl in history
2 – accept offers of help. As a bride, as much as one would like You can’t possibly do everything yourself so if someone offers their time up to help accept it! I have some amazingly creative friends. I have 8 bridesmaids yes 8! who all have a job decorating, gluing and painting things!
3 – try to stick to your budget, it’s very easy to spend, spend, spend unnecessarily.
4 – pick a theme. Ours is buttons and old lace doilies as I just love them, they will be everywhere.
5 – not to forget what the wedding is all about – its all because two people fell in love. I could cry now thinking about saying my vows.
Any great advice you have been given that you would like to share?
To try to take as much as the day in as possible because it will go so fast. It’s all about creating wonderful memories and sharing the day with friends and family.
Do you have a memory of your first date you can share?
I took Bianca to McDonald’s – I really pushed the boat out, ha
Tell us about the engagement proposal?
I asked Bianca to marry me while she was poorly in hospital, I was so nervous I could hardly get my words out. I went down on one knee and asked her, She said yes which soon eased my nerves. It was very emotional.
How did you go about choosing the ring?
I had help choosing the ring from her sister Stacy, she sneakily found out her ring size for me. The ring I chose ended up not being quite right so we went together after Bianca was well again. This time we went for a vintage one which we both love.
On a scale of 1-10 how happy is this day going to be for you both?
On a scale of 1-10 of how happy this day will be would have to be 100
Wishing Will and Bianca both lots of love on their big day!
