Barforth Hall Fit Farm and Rural Retreat in Winston near Richmond was officially opened by owner and fitness trainer Paula Forrest, the unique facility which offers a fusion of fitness, nutrition and relaxation all in a luxurious rural setting, offers health breaks that are designed to kick-start a healthier lifestyle for its clients.
Invited guests viewed the extensive facilities at the recently transformed manor house and were treated to an afternoon tea of locally sourced farm produce and champagne. The rural retreat features en-suite bedrooms, an indoor fitness suite, an outdoor hard-court, lawns and garden exercise area, providing a one-stop shop for many health and fitness needs as well as bespoke fitness and health packages.
Paula said: “Barforth Hall is here to give people the confidence and drive to help themselves. Our team will offer advice and support to kick start a new lifestyle, and tailor plans to suit individual needs and targets. We want clients to leave feeling inspired and ready to make the small changes that can make all the difference to their health.”
Paula, an experienced personal trainer, with a sport science degree, has also managed an award winning weight management programme working within the medical profession.

Barforth Hall is set in 250 acres of Barforth Farm estate, which also boasts the ruins of a 12th Century monastery. The fitness farm is part of ongoing transformations of the formally derelict buildings. The projected received matched funding from the Rural Development Programme for England, which is jointly funded by DEFRA and European Union.
