Who doesn’t want an A-list worthy wedding? From Italy to Hawaii to the South of France, over recent years we’ve seen a huge rise in celebs leaving behind gloomy weather for sunnier climes and away from prying paparazzi. We choose our favourites!
The hottest and most sought after wedding destination, after a long list of celebs decided to tie the knot here. Kim and Kanye’s lavish affair took place Forte di Belvedere in Florence. The pair said ‘I do’ at the 16th Century fort in front of a white-flowered wall, which reportedly cost over $100,000!
Other celebs who wed in Italy include Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, Emily Blunt and John Krasinski and who could forget the recent nuptials of Mr Clooney and Amal Alamuddin! After four days of partying hard, lots of ‘oohing’ and ‘ahhing’ over the dress and a fleet of A-list guests, the pair rounded off their marriage in a £470 civil ceremony at Venice City Hall.

Despite Italy’s popularity, it still remains very unspoilt and as the resorts refuse to become too commercial like other European destinations such as Cyprus and Spain. Italy is seeped in history so whether its an ancient castle, a courtyard to a mediaeval monastery or intimate gardens that look out to jaw dropping scenery, the choice is endless for a VIP wedding.

Penelope Cruz married fellow Spaniard Javier Bardem in 2010, with an intimate affair at a friend’s private estate. Cruz’s wedding dress was designed by a longtime friend, fashion designer John Galliano. If you’re looking for something similar, the Caribbean has an array of fabulous and discreet hideaways for your low-key ceremony.
3. South of France
Keira Knightley married her musician husband James Righton in a gorgeous wedding in the small hilltop town of Mazan, South of France followed by their reception in a £3million farm house. Keira famously looked super chic in a strapless tulle dress and cropped Chanel boucle jacket.
Hollywood’s most famous couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt followed suit in August this year following their long engagement. The pair held their relaxed wedding at their French château along with their six children who were the inspiration behind Ange’s dress.
Blushing bride Megan Fox married former 90210 actor Brian Austin Green as she made her way barefoot down a sandy aisle on the island of Hawaii in 2010. The pair said their ‘I do’s’ at the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai at Historic Ka’upulehu in front of only one witness, Green’s son Kassius.

Michael Buble and his Argentinian model wife Luisana Lopilato tied the knot in 2011 where they held a lavish ceremony in front of 300 family and friends in Buenos Aires before another ‘do’ in Canada!
