Honeymoons most traditionally take place straight after the wedding, a chance for the newlywed couple to escape and celebrate their marriage in an exotic location. You want somewhere classy, fun, luxurious but not too costly? Be inspired by our favourite destinations from around the world for 2015, where will you go? 

1. Bermuda

After featuring on the Judge’s Houses round of X Factor, searches for Bermuda increased by up to 276%! It’s no wonder as the island has a whole lot to offer for honeymooners. Get lost in the beauty of their pink sandy beaches, sparkling blue waters and limestone cliffs, the ultimate romantic getaway. Beach season here runs from May through to October where temperatures reach highs of mid 80’s. November to March is best for sports fanatics, why not try a spot of golf on their famous golf courses or hire a jet ski to see more of the resort. Bermuda will be the trip of a lifetime.

2. Thailand

If a busy and action packed honeymoon is more your thing, visit Thailand. It’s bursting with culture, energy and trendy hangouts but also has its own fair share of secluded beaches, romantic hideouts and remote jungle corners. Explore bustling Bangkok or swim in the sparkling waters of Phuket. It may sound cliche, but Thailand is a destination that really has it all. It has a whole array of luxurious yet affordable accommodation waiting to be explored.

3. Greece

Greece has a lot to offer, whether you want to explore Athens, relax in Santorini or live like a VIP in Mykonos. The food is to die for and the locals go out of the way to make you feel welcome and wanted. If it’s a traditional town you’re after head to Hersonissos, a one time Roman port with tons of history. 4. Croatia

If Croatia hasn’t made the short list for your honeymoon destination, then you may want to think again. Croatia, a land of a thousand islands, magical nature and rich heritage – it makes for the perfect honeymoon experience. Whether you want to chill out by the crystal clear waters, renowned for their breathtaking beauty or let your hair down in the busy city of Dubrovnik. Such a short flight from the UK, but Croatia feels worlds apart.

5. St. Lucia

One of the Caribbean’s most scenic islands, St. Lucia is stunning. With world famous Piton Mountains, beautiful beaches, vast array of water sports and enchanting resorts it is no surprise that St. Lucia has been voted the World’s leading honeymoon destination eight times! Another way to see the island is by by boat, St Lucia should definitely be on your to do list.
