As the year draws to a close we take a look back at some of the highlights from the year. Today is the turn of the dresses, boho beauties to sparkles and fairytale full skirts – we’ve loved it all and we hope you have too!
Margot by Rembo Styling
We loved this dress since laying eyes on it at Harrogate Bridal Show earlier in the year. The ULTIMATE dress for boho lovers and free-spirits.
Leila by Jenny Packham
Taken from the 2015 spring collection, this romantic gown takes its inspiration from mythological heroines and goddesses. French lace and Jenny’s signature beading work perfectly to create this elegant creation.
Amal Alamuddin in Oscar de la Renta
A definite highlight in the celebrity wedding world this year! In addition to her Alexander McQueen, Giambattista Valli, Dolce & Gabbana and Stella McCartney outfits she teased us with over the weekend, when it came to the real thing she wore Oscar de la Renta! The French lace gown was embroidered with diamanté and pearls with a large sweeping train, timeless and elegant!
1920s Vintage by Bexbrides
One of our favourite real weddings of the year came from Sophie and Mark Carter. Sophie discovered her dress at Bex’s stall at a vintage fayre in Newcastle. The stunning gown was a vintage 1920’s evening dress, which had 100 year old vintage French lace added to it and completed with a gorgeous headpiece.
Lattice Embellished Flutter Sleeve Maxi Dress by ASOS
The highstreet and online is a great place these days to source dresses and other wedding accessories, and where better than Asos! At just £95 it’s an absolute steal and still looks effortless and chic.
Saffron by Temperley London
Brigitte by Claire Pettibone
Claire Pettibone does vintage romance so well and doesn’t disappoint with Brigitte from the Beau Monde collection. A stunning silk V-neck lace gown, with a silver belt over full lace skirt, lined in pearl silk. Beautiful!
Ashan and Carina by Watters
Embrace the blush trend we have been raving about in 2014 with this two-piece by Watters. We’re swooning over Ashan, a rose-gold soft net ballgown skirt teamed with Carina, a blush lace, sweetheart neckline corset.
Elsa Dress by Alfred Angelo
The Showstopper by Julien Macdonald
All eyes were on Julien Macdonald this year when he unveiled his £4 million wedding gown at London Fashion Week. With real diamonds and a real ocean pearl embroidered into the dress!
So there you have it, the run down of our favourite wedding dresses of the year! Which is yours?
