You will need …

  • 2 egg-boxes (one larger than the other)
  • Floral wire
  • Tissue paper
  • Ribbon
  • Card
  • Scissors
  • Glue Gun
  • Acrylic paint
  • Hole Punch
  • A little PVA glue

1. Equipment Border
Follow this …
Cut out an egg cup from the smaller egg box. Cut out 4 petal shapes, like shown below. Cut out the bottom and gently roll the petals up. This will be the inside of the flower.
PC Collage 1
Cut out an egg cup from the larger egg box. Cut 4 petal shapes again, but don’t cut out the bottom. This will be the outside of the flower.
PC Collage 2
Paint the two pieces; use a light shade on the larger egg cup and a darker shade on the rolled up piece. You can use whatever colours you wish; today we are making a red rose. Allow both the pieces to dry.
PC Collage 3
At the bottom of the larger egg cup, pierce two small holes big enough to fit the floral wire. Thread the wire through one hole and bring it back out through the other hole to create a stem. Pinch together the wire.
PC Collage 4
Using tissue paper, wrap the stem. Use a small dab of PVA glue to secure the tissue paper. You could also use ribbon or tape. Gently curl the wire around so the flower can stand up. Glue gun a ring of glue inside the larger egg cup and place the rolled piece inside.
PC Collage 5
As the glue dries, create the name card on the card stock and make a hole with the hole punch at the side. Tie the name card onto the stem of the flower, creating a little bow with the ribbon.
