We have had an amazing time in London this year from the Wedding Industry awards in January at Cafe to paris to London Bridal fashion Week and White Gallery in May but since we didn’t have a great chance to explore we sent our young intern Amanda on a mission to find out about this Industrial chic venue we have heard so much about.
When searching for wedding venues situated in London, I knew I would find many hidden opportunities and find a varied range of places. One of the venues I came across is called “castle Gibson MC motors.” Yes, you heard me correctly, it is an old car mechanics site which has been refurbished. Before becoming a mechanic site, the building had previously been part of a school and then turned into industrial units.
The ‘Industrial’ vibe is bang on trend right now in terms of interior design and crafts. This location oozes character from it’s own history and has natural charm with the sky-lighted roof providing an abundance of natural light. This venue engages a new feel to the modern day norm. Think chic, urban and outright quirky, this warehouse venue creates an industrial vibe which is perfect for all clients wanting to create a non-traditional feel to their wedding day. The space is complimented by brick layered walls which have naturally decayed over the past hundred or so years that the building has existed.
This venue is 6,000 sq./ft and is located in East London. There are many different wooden flooring present throughout the building and a variety of fabulous props displayed throughout to add a touch of your own personality to the day. There lays a beautiful untouched Victorian street which runs through the side of the building which adds real character. The warehouse is available for filming, photo shoots and events. Castle Gibson also has 4 other locations which all have a diverse and unique feel.
