Suddenly your theme, colours and floral choices may not suit the Autumn season. However the Autumn is a fabulous time of the year especially for flowers. Often the weather is still great well into October and November.
Seasonal Autumn Wedding Flowers
Your florist will be able to advise what flowers are available. The main seasonal wedding flowers affected will be peony that usually has a short lived Spring season lasting May until July at a stretch. However, there is nothing to stop you incorporating silk Blooms into your fresh flower arrangements. We see this happening more and more, florists are very creative at achieving a fabulous floral look
- Sunflowers yellow and bronze colours
- Dahlias in particular the Cafe au lait for blush colours
- Sedum for rich Berry colours
- From the garden Cosmos, snapdragon, zinnia and Echinachea
- Rosehips and trailing Amaranthus for longer wispy elements.
- Delphiniums and Eryngium for shades of blue.
We couldn’t resist putting together some of our favourite Autumnal flowers! It doesn’t all have to be rich reds, oranges and browns though, you can really go to town when creating your look. Feathers, berries and rustic pine cones all feature here and are a great alternative to usual wedding bouquets!
