Real Wedding: Catherine and Steven's Colourful 50's Style Wedding

On 10th September 2016, Catherine and Steven married at Grinkle Park Hotel in North Yorkshire.
The couple grew up together, with Steven being a best friend of Catherine’s brother and living just around the corner. After moving away, Catherine returned to where they both had lived and started to hang around with both Steven and her brother, and their romance grew from there. The couple had been together for 24 years before deciding it was time to get married.

The couple chose a special theme to their day, with plenty of bright colours to match. “I love the 50’s and always wanted a 50’s style wedding dress.” Catherine wore a Kate Fearnley gown with capped lace sleeves and a satin belt around her waist, while her four bridesmaids matched in knee-length Kate Fearnley dresses with long lace sleeves, in pink, purple, blue and yellow. “The different coloured bridesmaid dresses I loved because I thought it was a bit different.” Steven and his groomsmen wore coordinated navy suits; the groomsmen wearing orange ties and Steven wearing blue.
The couple set up a special memorial table for those who could not with them on the day; “Having a memorial table with pictures of my mum and brother so I felt they were part of the day,” said Catherine.
