Hannah Hart and Brett Winspear became Mr and Mrs Winspear on 19th April 2014 at the beautiful venue of Wynyard Hall. The couple who both now live in Moorsholm, East Cleveland, chose their theme to be ‘roses’ and wanted the day to be fun, relaxed and light hearted to cater for their two small children – all captured by the super talented Jen Hart. Here is their story…
The venue
I had been to Wynyard Hall once before and I knew the minute I pulled into the drive it was a very special place. We visited it together after we got engaged and knew it was the place we wanted to get married.
The theme
The main theme for the wedding was “roses” this started from the save the dates and went right through aspects of the wedding. I envisaged our wedding being a day for all our family and friends to be together, laugh, be happy and hopefully have fun. We have two small children and wanted the atmosphere to be relaxed and light hearted. I wanted to have lots of photographs of the children at the wedding and also wanted natural photographs to capture moments from the day.
We decided to make our own favours and these were sweet jars for all the guests. The tops were sealed and covered in fabric with brown string which held a silver tag saying “made with love.” The favours took a lot longer than we thought they would but we was really pleased with them. We also made our own place name cards; we kept these very simple with cream card and pink ribbon.
The dress
My dress was a beaded 3D lace and tulle fitted mermaid, with a sweetheart neck line and chapel length train by Justin Alexander Signature collection, purchased from Miranda Marie Bridal Boutique in Yarm. It was the first dress that I tried on and all the ones after that just did not compare!
I would describe my wedding morning as organised chaos! I was getting ready with the girls and my gorgeous two children. It was a lovely warm sunny day which made me smile even more. I was quite busy on the morning with the children and didn’t feel any nerves until I was stood waiting to walk down the aisle and everyone turned to look at me.
Bridesmaids and groomsmen
The maid of honour wore a bespoke rose pink ¾ sleeve fitted lace bodice, with a sweetheart neckline and chiffon circle skirt. Our flower girl was our daughter who was 4 years old, she wore an ivory dress with diamanté detailing purchased from Truly Beautiful in Guisborough. I also had my two brothers as my “brides-men” they were in the same suits as the groomsmen. The groom’s outfits were from Handsome Harry’s in Guisborough, they wore a traditional black tail jacket with dove grey waistcoat. The page boy was our son who was aged 2 years old and he wore a matching suit!
Entertainment
We hired a photo booth from Party Pics, the guests loved the booth and we have some very funny photos to keep. We also hired magician Paul Lytton for both the day and evening guests and we then had The Beer Pigs perform and a disco by Designer DJ.

The suppliers
Jen Hart Photographer amazing from day one of meeting her. She was so helpful through the wedding preparations and then on and after the wedding day. We are continually getting brilliant comments about the photographs that we have. Its lovely being able to see the special moments that Jen has captured throughout the day. We chose Clover Florist for our flowers and I loved my bridal flowers and the centre pieces were just how I envisaged them. Leona from Posh Chair Covers was lovely and really helpful too.
The honeymoon
We had a mini-moon to London for two nights and then a family-moon to Menorca for two weeks. We really enjoyed a few relaxing days away alone and then a busy family holiday with the children. Menorca holds very special memories for us both.
