NEW Wedding Venues: Find your happy place

We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

As we begin February, the flow of work life and routine is back and can you believe Valentines’ Day is only just around the corner. It’s most likely you’re only just starting to have a moment to yourself and that’s why you’re here, right? That and the fact that all this wedding stuff is just too exciting!
Well, you’ve come to the right place. Wedding venue picking is a great way to start with many wedding planning guides putting it high priority on their checklist. After all, it is where your special memories are experienced and shared.
We’ve picked a tempting trio of recently launched/launching soon venues in the area to showcase to you and get the ball rolling with inspiration. You can check them out below…

Le Petit Chateau

Le Petit Chateau

Taking inspiration from the French to create a chic, stylish and elegant backdrop for your day, this country manor in Northumberland really sets itself apart from the rest.
Le Petit Chateau is cousin of the award winning Newton Hall, so it’s only right we expect big things and it doesn’t disappoint. The venue hosts 30 elegant bedrooms with secret roof gardens and hot tubs, all to be finished with the same stunning interior and charm throughout.
By choosing a taste of the Mediterranean countryside within the heart of Northumberland, you can celebrate al fresco in the garden and wedding terrace, stroll through the wild meadow to the riverside or spend your exclusive day in the Chapel room.
You could also take advantage of the catering team. Don’t worry, it’s not all snails and oysters to choose from on this menu (although, we’d be happy to take on the cheese and wine tradition) and it’s certainly not petit either. The venue offers anything from a Mad Hatters Tea Party to Northumbrian Tapas. You could even have a classic fish and chips. How very British!
Inspirational and thoughtful extras are also suggested by the venue to add that unique touch to the day. Some ideas include a memory lane, singing waiters and a costume box.
There’s even a competition currently running to win a wedding in 2016 worth up to £5000. More details are available on their website at www.le-petit-chateau.com
We just adore.

The sheltered courtyard of Healey Barn is a real gem in good weather and is just as beautiful on an evening with fairy lights in the tress, fire pits and lanterns creating a magical atmosphere.
Inside, the venue boasts flagstone floors, wooden beams and an open fireplace that makes the place feel enchanting and welcoming for both you and your guests.
The Bride’s Room offers discreet arrival, as you don’t want anyone seeing you, before the grand entrance through the Long Room to the ceremony.
The venue can hold a capacity of up to 140 for dining and in the barn for civil weddings. However, if you would prefer to get married in a church there are many to choose from nearby before heading back to the barn to enjoy a unique experience with up to 200 guests for the evening reception.
What’s even better, the hire period at Healey Barn is until 1am. This means you can keep on those dancing shoes and carry on your celebrations that little bit longer ready for memories that will last forever.
