Here, we show you how to simply DIY Hessian napkin rings with toilet roll holders and hessian, a fab make for a rustic theme.
You will need …
- Toilet Roll Holder
- Hessian Material
- Glue Gun
- Scissors
- Ribbon/Lace/Twine
- Decorative Items (buttons, charms)
Follow this …
Cut the toilet roll holder in half. Don’t worry about uneven or jagged edges.
Measure a square of hessian material that will fit all the way around the ring, overlapping slightly.
Run a zig zagged line of glue down on the centre of the ring and attach the edge of the hessian. Keep a hold until it has dried, then roll the material around and add another line of glue, overlapping the hessian.
Run a circle of glue on the inside of the ring and tuck in the extra hessian. Repeat on the other side. Cut away any stray threads from the hessian.
You can now decorate the napkin ring as you wish, using ribbons, lace, string and twine and adding decorative items like buttons, brooches and charms to match your theme.
